Because this medication is in fact so effective and successful that literally millions of men out there in the world who suffer from erectile dysfunction were able to again have sex with no problems at all as now they can maintain erections enough to complete intercourse without any problems at all. The effect of this drug or lets say how this works is really quite simple, what determines the erection of the penis is the blood flow and the muscles that trap these blood in the penis, if it happens that there is a problem with the flow of blood. You see this drug comes in dosages ranging from 25 mg, 50 mg and sildenafil citrate 100mg as the max dose for this as anything more is not good too. Doctors usually prescribe 50 mg initially depending on preexisting conditions and your state of health and tolerance to the drug. It can either go lower to 25 mg if you have some conditions like diabetes or such to test the waters if this is safe for you, or it can go higher if they see that 50 mg only has a minimal effect on you. Doctors are cautious because like any other drugs, sildenafil citrate side effects are also present and some of these include nausea, dizziness, upset stomach, headaches, nasal congestion, and many more. Some serious ones might be coloring of the field of vision to blue, photosensitivity, and the most debatable of them which is loss of vision as it is being studies if this is a direct effect of the drug itself or simply a reaction to something else. But all in all, this is something that has been successful because of its efficiency in giving erections to the male population and most men who take this can attest to that.
