Sildenafil citrate is for impotency

With so many men out there suffering from erectile dysfunction, its is a no-brainer that Sildenafil Citrate is really so popular as this is the first ever drug to come out that manages erectile dysfunction. Back some decades ago, ED had no definite treatment or cure, but management relied solely on untested drugs and medications and even herbal things to try to manage this, but none were ever successful. When sildenafil was first tested, researchers did not really think this would be for ED but rather tested is vasodilator properties fro hypertension, but upon testing they saw it induced erection especially in men and saw how effective it was on that so they changed their research to try to improve the drug’s ability to treat erectile dysfunction and finally in 1998, Pfizer came out with Viagra, the brand name of Sildenafil citrate and it was the first orally taken drug for management of erectile dysfunction. Things have been better since then for men suffering from erectile dysfunction as now they had something to take everytime they wanted to have sexual intercourse and this drug allowed them to go through all cycles starting from erection and finally peak at ejaculation without any problem at all. An added bonus was even prolonged erection even after the first ejaculation as the men can still have a go at it after as long as the drug is in effect. Though like any other drugs, it is not fit for all men as there are also sildenafil citrate side effects that came out in the open once the drug got out and the commonly reported ones were nausea, headache, dizziness, and also upset stomach. But there were also instances os reported loss of vision and loss of hearing though these symptoms were being researched if it was caused directly by sildenafil or rather a complication from possible preexisting conditions or medications taken in conjunction with Viagra. This is why Viagra is a prescription drug as checkups with doctors help avoid these side effects as the doctor will determine if you are okay to take this and have no side effects or reaction to the drug. But statistics wise, this has been a very efficient drug for most men and certainly it still has a long way to go in the future in the management of erectile dysfunction in all men.
