The best drug of choice for erectile dysfunction still remains to be Sildenafil Citrate for most men as even though there are now competitors such as Cialis (tadalafil) or Levitra (vardenafil) and some other ED drugs, sildanefil has firmly planted itself in medical society owing to the fact that this is the first drug for ED and that has a great bearing for most doctors and men alike who have once suffered from erectile dysfunction and has experienced the effectivity of sildenafil citrate in management of this problem. Although not all men actually benefited as there were sildenafil citrate side effects too that were reported like headaches, nausea, loss of hearing, upset stomach and some other more serious ones like tachycardia and cardiovascular side effects, but in a number based game, the great majority had none so that makes it more or less effective for the greater population of men around the world. Why is this drug so effective? It was so effective especially if it was taken an hour or two prior to the sexual activity and lasted for as long as 4 hours. It was like a dream come true for the men who had ED as they thought this condition will never have a cure as it was quite late this drug appeared and it almost reached the year 2000 before any real cure came out which is this sildenafil. First sildenafil came out under the brand name of Viagra and this was the first orally taken drug for ED and that really made a big impact in society and men as a whole. Nowadays, event though other variants of sildenafil have come out, ask around and you will find out that more men still prefer Viagra and they know this better than any other ED drug and they would gladly buy this if they knew it would help them perform in bed better. Popular culture has helped steer this drug and so far, no new drug has been able to match its popularity among men, but I think the credit goes to the fact that it is a real potent drug for erectile dysfunction.
